This is a handy set of rose, calendula and lavender flowers which can be used as ingredients in DIY products. Add them to soaps, body scrubs, bath soaks and more! The petals will add interest and texture as well as their beautiful subtle scent. Sprinkle some floral fun into your handmade products!

Content: 45ml approx. of each flower’s petals (about 3 Tbsp each)

Dried Flowers Decoration Kit

This set contains more than enough flowers to combine with approx. 500g of soap base. Each of these flowers can also be purchased in a larger quantity of 200g if you require more than this set contains. They are also available in bulk from our Amsterdam store.

Rose Petal Benefits

Rose petals contain antioxidants, essential fatty acid, and Vitamin C. Antioxidants help to neutralise free radicals and promote healthy skin. Essential fatty acids and vitamin C also work to revitalize and maintain the pH balance of the skin. To include more potent benefits from rose use our pure rose water toner. Roses have a calming scent which may help to relieve anxiety and promote emotional wellbeing.

Calendula Benefits

The scent of calendula is earthy and a little sweet like tree sap. Calendula may help to soothe the skin and promote healing, however using calendula oil which is more potent than just the dried flowers would have a stronger effect. When used in soap making calendula will retain its golden-orange hue so is great as a natural soap colourant and to add interest to the texture of the soap. It is water and oil soluble, so you can release the benefits that the flower contains when infusing it in oil such as grapeseed or sweet almond oil, or in a hot bath.

Lavender Flower Benefits

Lavender is part of the mint family, so it compliments Peppermint and Rosemary essential oils very well. Lavender has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which can help soothe the skin. Lavender will also help to gently cleanse the skin and refresh it. It may help to calm the skin, including acne, however using lavender essential oil which is more potent than just the dried flowers would have a stronger effect.
