Product description

Bentonite Clay

  • Purifies the skin, deep cleansing of the pores.
  • Perfect to make a cleansing face mask
  • 100% natural

Bentonite is one of our most popular clays and comes from naturally occurring volcanic ash sediments. Bentonite, also known as Montmorillonite, can be used externally as a mud wrap, to make a hair mask or in skin care recipes.

When Bentonite Clay comes into contact with a liquid, something changes in the composition of the clay. This creates the ability to absorb toxins. Bentonite clay absorbs oil and dirt from the pores. It makes the skin smoother, tighter and softer, so that fine lines fade. Suitable for both dry and oily skin. Do you want to know more about Bentonite Clay? Then read our blog about Bentonite Clay .

Tip: do not allow Bentonite Clay to come into contact with metals, as this considerably reduces the effectiveness of the clay.

Bentonite Clay and Acne

The adsorbent capacity of bentonite clay can be useful in the treatment of acne and oily skin. The clay can help remove sebum or oil from the skin's surface, and it can also have a calming effect on inflamed skin. Because of this, the use of clay masks with bentonite clay can help remove impurities, which can be especially beneficial for oily and acne prone skin.

Use Bentonite Clay

Many commercial face masks contain clay because of the purifying effect on the skin. Some face masks contain bentonite, but you can easily make your own face mask at home with bentonite clay. This way your mask will also be 100% natural, because commercial masks often contain a lot of chemical additives that ensure that the mask does not spoil or harden!

Mix bentonite clay with water to make a thick paste. Apply to your face (avoid the eye area!). Leave the mask on until it hardens and rinse (do not leave on for more than 20 minutes). Use lots of warm water to splash and remove the mask from the skin. You can also use a damp face cloth if needed. Repeat several times a week.
