Product description

Honey Face Mask

  • Softening, soothing and deeply cleansing

Face Mask Kitchen Mudfest is a deep cleansing and soothing facemask with organic honey from the beekeeper and bentonite clay. The mask is 100% natural and easy to make. In the package, there is enough for about 5 facemasks. Bentonite clay is a very soft mineral clay extracted from volcanic ash. A facemask with bentonite clay absorbs grease and dirt from the skin and leaves you with smooth and soft skin. Honey is soothing and deeply cleansing for the skin. Raw honey has natural antibacterial qualities and helps heal the skin naturally. Our organic raw honey comes directly from the beekeeper and has therefore maintained all the natural active substances. After you have cleansed your skin with this mask your face will feel soft as silk! Bentonite clay is very mild and therefore suitable for all skin types.

Bentonite Clay

When Bentonite Clay comes into contact with a liquid, something changes in the composition of the clay. This gives it the ability to absorb toxins. Bentonite clay absorbs oil and dirt from the pores. It makes the skin smoother, firmer and softer making fine lines fade. Suitable for both dry and oily skin. Want to know more about Bentonite Clay? Read our blog about Bentonite Clay (in Dutch).

Raw Honey

DIYS Soap works with beekeeper Dirk Jan Binnenveld who has over 20 years of experience selling cold strung organic honey from flowers in Leiden at Cronesteyn's Hof. Dirk Jan is a beekeeper for black honeybees, known as Carnica bees. The bees build their honeycomb, making it possible to supply the honeycomb. Domestic production of 20 bee colonies is usually not enough to meet the demand for local honey, which is why Dirk Jan buys honey from beekeepers from Leiden. They are trusted professionals who handle the same high demands on the quality of honey and who carefully attend to their bees. The honey's flavour is determined by the nectar that bees collect: in the spring when the linden flower blooms then the honey harvest production is light and fruity, at the end of the summer the honey is darker and has a deeper flavour. These nuances make it such a special product. As a result, the honey in the products of DIYS Soap may vary each time by colour.

Bees

That bees can sting is general knowledge. That bees make honey is also universal knowledge. But what not everybody knows is that bees are particularly useful and occupy a very special place in the food chain. The bee is the main pollinator; bees pollinate 80% of all crops in the Netherlands. When collecting nectar, the pollen is transferred from flower to flower, this is done by the bee who takes the remains of the sticky pollen from the previous flower which then hang on the hairs of its body which pollinate the next flower. Bees are indispensable. DIYS Soap only works with a beekeeper who carefully attends to his bees.
