Treat your skin with a DIY face mask with some kaolin or bentonite clay. These recipes offer fresh face masks to try, which include ingredients you may have in your kitchen. The oat and green tea mask is nice for dry & dehydrated skin, the turmeric mask may help to brighten dull skin, and the strawberry face mask is great for cleansing and reducing inflammation. We recommend doing a face mask once or twice a week.
In a small bowl mix the flour, cucumber juice, coconut milk and turmeric to form a paste. Add more flour if the paste is too thin. Apply the mask evenly to your face. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, but not until the paste dries. Rinse with warm water.
Strawberry Yoghurt Face Mask
Rejuvenating
3 large organic strawberries, stemmed and roughly chopped
1 tablespoon organic plain yoghurt
1 tablespoon organic raw honey
Optional: 1 tablespoon bentonite clay (great to add for oily and acne prone skin)
In a small bowl, mash the strawberries with a fork. Add the yoghurt, honey, and clay (if using). Blend well. Apply the mask evenly to the skin. Leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes, rinse with warm water.
Keep in the fridge in a covered container and use within 3 days. If you make it with clay use straight away. It grows mold quickly.
