How to make Sugar Scrub Cubes
200g brown or white sugar
100ml coconut oil
Any toppings such as coffee grounds, petals and essential oil
How to make: In a large bowl combine the ingredients. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray. Freeze into cubes and place them in a jar with a lid and keep in a cool and dark place. In summer if it's warmer make them with some beeswax or cacao butter.
Tip: For the brown cubes, Erica uses brown sugar, coffee grounds (1 tbsp), cinnamon (1 tsp), and orange essential oil (8-10 drops). For the white cubes, Erica uses white sugar, rose petals, and cinnamon essential oil (only 1 drop!).
How to use: Take out one cube to use per shower. Scrub once every 4 days max.
How to make Lip Balm
1tsp Organic shea butter
1tsp Organic coconut oil
1tsp Beeswax
How to make: Melt in a double boiler, mix and pour in a tin can or lip balm container. It's really as easy as that!
Tip: It's nice to colour the lip balm with beetroot powder, although you won't see it when you apply it to your lips.
We also have an online workshop where you learn how to make body cream and lip balm from the comfort of your own home, which includes a pdf and instructional videos. You can purchase all ingredients for the lip balm in our DIY package Body Cream & Lip Balm.
